Episode 22

Whenever I felt confused or needed someone to talk to, I had Leo. Good friends are like stars, you can’t always see them, but you know they are there. I and Annie were always quarrelling. In super spy, we worked separately. And I do not think it’s going anywhere.

Eye witnesses reported that some people stole a valuable amulet. No one knew how many people though.

The thing was it was magical. If it gets in the wrong hands, then we would all be in deep trouble. That amulet is endowed with special powers to protect and bring good fortune.

It isn’t exactly what i was imagining but..

I found out that they are wearing sunglasses and a hat that covers up their face. I also found a glass piece on the ground. Annie was the one who was good with figuring things out. So, as I am on my own now. Got to find out.

Ah! Let’s start with fingerprints. I scanned all the fingerprints, and was back to square one. This was a mystery case.

Not all cases include ghost. During these times, I meet Charlie Charlie, haunted a apartment cause he felt alone and lonely. Turns out he likes children cause they are bubbly and fun. Overall he was a good ghost. He just thinks that older humans are mean. They made fun of him, teased him, scolded him.

Also blue baby, this one is really haunting. You have to go into the bathroom on your own, turn off the lights and lock the door. Then you stare into the mirror, hold out your arms like you are rocking a baby and repeat the words “Baby Blue, Blue Baby” 13 times without making a mistake.

If you do it right, you will suddenly feel the weight of an invisible baby in your arms. The baby will get heavier and heavier as it grows larger and larger. You will feel it scratching your arms.

Before it gets too heavy, you have to quickly take the invisible baby, flush it down the toilet and run out of the bathroom. If you don’t do it fast enough, a hideous woman will appear in the mirror. She will yell “Give me back my baby!” and scream loud enough to break glass. If you are still holding the baby, she will kill you. She murdered her own child when she shattered a mirror and used a piece of broken glass to stab him to death.

No one know who exactly is that woman. Me and Annie had no idea what to do. They gave the case to someone more experienced.

I gave up, I had literally no clues left. I went to a park. The evening walk has its own pleasure as evening time. Probably because of the sunset sky being scarlet coloured. The heat of the summer season due to sun cools down by the evening time.

I saw Annie, she was on a bench. I walked up to her and said “May I sit here?” She nodded at me. We sat there for a minute. And we both said at the same time “I’m sorry.” And then we chuckled. “You we’re right. I started noticing that Neha and Sofie were bullying others. They didn’t care about others.”

“Maybe they have a reason. We have to dig deep and help them and speaking of help I really need your help. Without you solving cases aren’t fun, they are just tough nowadays.” I said.

Annie was more of the logical person. She has confidence and ability to make rational decisions in life. She doesn’t just assume things and act, but she knows what she is doing. While me quite the opposite. I’m messy, it’s my way of organised. I have a massive imagination and I’m very creative. Out of the ordinary. I love imagining things, something new, something…magical.

“Come on! We have a case to solve and two people we need to help.” Annie said pulling me out of my thoughts. “You told me there was a glass piece, right?” “Yeah” I replied. “Got it” she says. She motions me to follow her and so I do.

We got a glass box. She asks me to put fire on to and so I do. I put more force in it. The glass box breaks. “See. The glass box broke.”

“Yeah, but this glass box is weak. And the one in which the amulet was kept was stronger.”

“First fire, then water. Then if we hit it, it breaks. We just need to test it out on the box that the amulet was kept.”

“How is this important?” I asked. “Did you even visit the Vilcalia Library?”

“Wait…we have a library?”

She chuckled. “Long time ago, not that long though. There was a fire storm. But the thing was, it was in only a small part of the Vilcalia. It is near the High Mountains ⛰.”

I know the high mountains. No one is allowed to go there. I don’t know why though.

“A person sneaked in cause he was curious. At that time no one knew why it was closed. We now know that it was closed due to its frequent firestorms, the heads didn’t want to scare the people so they kept it a secret. He died in the firestorm or so everyone thought. One fine day, he just came and attacked.”

“What happened next?” I asked.

“They somehow trapped him in the High Mountains. I think he escaped and got the amulet, cause he thought to use brains.”

“Wait, but you told he needed water to break the box.”

“Right near the museum where the amulet was kept. You could see a water-hose and to break the glass. He could have just hit it with the hose.”

We went to Joanna and asked her about the box.

Hey, so I decided to complete this series before new year. Anyways, Merry Christmas once again!
